Private planning and consulting firm assisting property owners with land use planning efforts, including environmental review, entitlement process, permitting, community outreach, etc

State of Hawaiʻi – Chair, Board of Land and Natural Resources (2003 – 2007)

Cabinet member overseeing Department of Land & Natural Resources (DLNR) – DLNR is a multi-faceted department with a $100-million operating budget and nearly 1,000-employees, responsible for Hawaiʻi’s natural and cultural resources, including public lands, water resources, ocean waters, parks, boating, ocean recreation, coastal programs, forests, wildlife, natural area reserves, etc.

County of Hawaiʻi – Deputy Managing Director (2000 – 2003)

Cabinet member in County Government appointed by Mayor Harry Kim; third highest administrative position in Hawaiʻi County government, responsibilities included supervision over the administrative functions of all departments in the County, with a $205-million operating budget and over 2,000 employees.
